Part of the production was filmed on location is Costa Rica with a cast and crew of seven. The only equipment that was used was all that could fit in a backpack - including a handheld camera, two lenses, and no lights or tripod.
The final sound mix was done at Skywalker Sound in Marin County, in addition to recording a live brass section to round out the orchestral score composed by Jermaine Stegall.
